Street arts and community events as a tool for social change

PARTicipate! was a networking and learning conference designed to illustrate how street and community arts and events can be used as a platform for engagement and a catalyst for social change.

Inspired by Faceless extensive range of creative community engagement practice, the Arts Council funded conference features an exciting mix of practical workshops and qualified speakers including Alison Andrews from Arts Council England, Yorkshire, Frank Wilson from Event International and Helen Gould from Creative Exchange; promising to be a valuable conference for professionals who are interested in the arts as a tool for social improvement.

PARTicipate! attracted representatives from Local Authorities, Arts Practitioners, Event Organisers and Community and Voluntary Sector Organisations looking for better and new ways to promote active participation in the arts and use the arts to promote positive ways forward for their towns, cities and communities.
